GOT QUESTIONS?
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this service. Can't find your answer? Call us on +61 450 999 222.
Can you refurbish a building while it is occupied?
Yes. This is one of our specialities. We use staging and disruption plans to keep tenants in place and schedule disruptive works outside business hours where needed.
How do you price a refurbishment?
To price the works accurately, we ask for the architectural, structural and shop drawings to be supplied alongside the site inspection and initial engagement meetings. From there we prepare a fixed-price proposal covering labour, materials, trade coordination and project management, with any exclusions itemised.
Do you manage council approvals?
No. Approvals such as a DA or CDC are handled by your appointed consultants and certifiers. During the works Gladison coordinates with your engineers, architects, designers, building manager and authorities, but does not manage councils or obtain approvals.
Can you match existing finishes?
Yes. We source matching materials and finishes so new works integrate seamlessly with existing areas, which matters most on staged refurbishments.
What is the difference between a refurbishment and a fitout?
A fitout fits out a blank or stripped tenancy for a new occupant. A refurbishment upgrades an existing, often occupied space to extend its life or reposition it. Gladison can also include the defit and strip-out works required before a fitout or refurbishment begins.
